MAPPY MUNICH

An online guide that provides accessibility information for tourists with limited mobility exploring Munich.

About

About

Mappy Munich is an online guide that provides accessibility information for tourists with limited mobility. It provides accessibility information for essential amenities, tourist attractions, and self-guided tour routes in the city center of Munich.

The self-guided tour routes are referenced from GPSmycity and have been adjusted in ArcGIS Pro for better accessibility based on available geospatial and tourism data but they are not guaranteed to be 100% accessible as conditions may change over time. Our aim was to provide as much useful accessibility information along and nearby the routes.

Note: For City Tours, if an attraction is wheelchair accessible, it is also assisted walking (e.g., rollator) and stroller friendly. If they are not wheelchair friendly, it is indicated whether the attraction is accessible for people with assisted walking or stroller.

This page was created as our mapping project for Cartography M.Sc. in January 2023. You can learn more about this project here!
